Did you know there are over 3,000 tulip varieties?!? There are “single early” blooms that bloom early spring between 10-18 inches tall. “Single late” blooms are later in season but grow between 18-30 inches in height!

Did you know that you can hire photographers on @airbnbexperiences ?
I hired @romaportrait for photos near the Colosseum. I almost cancelled the appointment twice due to insecurities but decided to go since I had already paid. Well, I’m so glad I went! Li was amazing and it felt like I was hanging out with a friend. We got some amazing shots. Li was completely open to different places that fit my interests, hence the door and gelato photos.
So if you’re considering hiring a photographer on a trip, do it. Hint: movement is based for photos in standing from where my experience.

I consider myself a mid-level budget traveler. I typically try to spend between 100 to 125 a night on hotels. Last year when I went to Egypt I stayed 2 nights @steigenbergerhotels in Hurghada. When I was booking my room I found a swim up room for $150 USD a night. I normally would never book a swim up room but I thought this was such a good deal and probably the only time that I would find such a good deal on a swim up room. And since I hadn’t traveled in a year due to Covid I decided to treat myself. PUR was awesome. It was all inclusive with great bartenders, 2 beautiful pools, and an awesome breakfast buffet. I highly recommend staying a few nights here at the end of your Egypt trip to read before returning home.

1. Easily accessible by public transportation and walking. The city bus runs from the airport to the city center where all the hotels are.
2. English is the second spoken language, I had no language barriers.
3. Norway is considered one of the safest countries, typical crimes are petty theft and car breakins. Like always be aware of your surroundings and cautious of telling others you’re alone.
4. There’s tons of different day tours through @GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor, and Viator where you will meet plenty of other solo travelers.

1. Converter- Currency calculator to easily calculate Norwegian Krone to USD.
2. Troms Billet- Purchase bus tickets online for a cheaper fare.
3. Hello Aurora: forecast app- track the northern lights, see cloud coverage to find a clear location , and share/ see photos of others light spottings.
4. Get You’re Guide- I purchased a few of my excursions the night before through this app which then provided a barcode for day of so I didn’t have to deal with printing anything.
5. Airline app- Flight schedules are often being delayed or rescheduled these days and the best way to stay informed is to download your airline carriers app.
6. Google Maps- Has the bus schedule and walking directions.

Artic Cathedral is a famous landmark that can be seen from the Tromso Sound, the famous Tromso bridge, and when landing at Tromso airport.
The glass mosaic was created to represent 3 rays of light from God’s hand 1. One through Jesus 2. One through a woman and one through a man. It’s absolutely stunning.
It’s filled with many intricate pieces including the large prism chandelier, oak pews, and an organ consisting of 294 pipes.
The cathedral is open to the public in winter months from 1- 6pm.
Entry to the cathedral is $6 USD. It’s a great attraction to stop in to admire the beauty, warmup, and use the restroom.
The cathedral is easily accessible from the city center hubby’s routes 28, 24, and 26. It’s also a beautiful 10 minute walk to/ from Tromso Cable Car.

Tagine is a Berber dish named after the clay pot it’s cooked in. They are commonly made with fruits like apricots or dates, a meat/ fish, and fresh vegetables. My favorite tagine is a chicken with preserved lemons, peas, and French fries.
With every meal no matter how hot it is you will be served Moroccan mint tea.
All meals are also served with freshly baked bread to substitute for utensils if you’re up for it.
